I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving!!! I know we sure did. We ate with Major and Lorraine and Lorraines mom. She cooked the following:

TWO Turkeys
Ham slices
Sweet potatoes
Greens
Potato salad
Dressing
Corn on the Cob
Cornbread muffins
Rolls
Gravy
Punch
Macaroni and Cheese (secret ingredients: sugar and vanilla. I dont know what she was thinking. It made it taste like candy)
Pumpkin pie
Sweet potato pie
Apple pie
(We made)
Cheesecake
Pumpkin bread
Cookies.

Ya, there were 5 of us. I don't think I've ever seen my belly that huge before!
Our week was really slow, due to the holidays, but we did tract into this really cool African guy, and had a really great conversation about being a Christian.
We had a rockin Zone Conference yesterday that was so intense and spiritually draining. I love President and Sister Pitt and our leaders :)
We came down to Christiansburg with the sisters here and tracted last night. It was the strangest weather, very misty rain that was blowing everywhere. We got soaked. Then we taught a lesson and had a sleepover last night. So exciting! We will be having a fun P-day today with them.
I'm sorry this email is not very exciting...
OH, we did try to find some less actives in the CRAZY hills of Bluefield!!! We were up so high, and the hills were so steep-with these giant mansion houses that are falling apart built on the side of the mountain. It was so entertaining to look a them all. I don't know how people get around here in the winter...

Misery!

Not to be a complainer or anything, but this week has be HORRIBLE!!!
Well, it didn't start out that way. Monday was usual. We had FHE with the Blankenship's, which was just delightful.
Tuesday, we volunteered at the food pantry called "Tender Mercies". It was way funny, cause Sister Walton couldn't remember what it was called and kept calling it "Celestial Heart". Wahahah we had some good laughs over that one. We had lessons with Major, and Nadine, and saw a few less active members, so that was good.
Wednesday we did a lot of service for Elizabeth, raking leaves, mowing the yard, etc. It was really great! Shortly after that, Sister Walton started to not feel very good. So we decided to come in for the night. I wasn't feeling that great, but nothing awful. Then the plague set in. We thought we had food poisoning, but with talking to a bunch of people we saw, we figured out it was just a very bad stomach virus. To spare you all the gruesome details, I'll just say that it was a combination of muscles aches, severe stomach cramps, nausea/throwing up, diarrhea, night sweats, headaches and pure exhaustion. Ya. We didn't leave the house until Sunday morning for church. It was awful and I never wish that upon my worst enemy!! We did get a blessing from some men in the ward on Thursday night. After church, we came home and slept all day. It took all the energy out of us to go!! We are feeling better today, but still not the best.
I wish I had some cool stories or something to tell yall, but nothing happened....
I did have some really good studies, and I have been loving reading from the Book of Mormon. It is such an inspired book! Also "Daughters in My Kingdom" Is really great and I have loved learning from it too. And Doctrines and Covenants. Okay, just read all the good books. They are all great.
I still love being a missionary!! Even though a sick missionary is not fun.

November, November!!!

Woooo!! Life is grand!
We had a good week! I love Sister Walton. She is from Denton, TX and we get along great! we have been working hard and having lots of fun. The adjusting period was, different, but things are as smooth as ever now!
We finally found Jeremy Golden Ticket boy again!! He still wants to meet with us, and we set up an appointment for Wednesday! Hooray!!!
We are going to have dinner with an amazing part-member family (Jake and Lindsey) this week, and we are stoked! They came to church last week and they are so nice to us.
We had a very entertaining fast and testimony meeting yesterday. Lorraine got up for about 15 minutes and ranted about how much she loves the missionaries, among other things. Best quote of the day: she shared an experience she had the other day in the kitchen when she said, and I quote, "Lord! Stretch out your mighty hands so I can feel your touch. And He did just that! He said, "I aint leavin you!"" It was a classic Lorriane moment.
We have been so blessed and I feel especially spiritually uplifted today.
I started reading "Daughters in my Kingdom" in my personal study, and I am really enjoying it so far.
Also discovered a way cool scripture. D&C 111:11. Last two lines. Look it up :)

PS sorry this is so short. Reading the scriptures is so cool. I love them!!!

Transfer news!

A shocker to us all! I am staying in Bluefield and Lowe is going to Morgantown. I thought for sure I was getting the boot! This will be my 4th transfer here. I am getting Sister Walton, who Sister Lowe trained. So, everyone can still write me at the same address!
403 W. Cumberland Rd.
Bluefield, WV 24701
We had a pretty good week!
Bobbi really wants to quit smoking and talked to her husband about the family getting baptized, so that was really great!
Major=the same :) His latest question was "well, the Mormons have 12 apostles, and the Methodists have 12 apostles, so which ones are true?" BAH!!! I get so frustrated sometimes!!!
We saw Sandra again, and we are going to do the stop smoking workshop with her next time we see her. She is so great and thinks we are "brilliant" wahahaha!
We didn't see Parker this week, but we did help him get a new job! (We think...)
There was a hilarious party at the church where all the auxiliaries did a lip sync. I was mortified and laughed sooo hard. We have great ward members who sang and danced their hearts out!! Good thing we got out of it, cause there is no way I would get up there and sing and dance.
We also saw Chad and Michaela again, which we haven't for a very long time. We love them so much and they seem to be doing really great!
Truth be told, I am WAY sad about transfers. Lowe and I have been crying and sad for 3 days. Change will be good, but its just so hard having a companion that you love leave...
All is well though.

I love you!!!
