Cute Day

Well, I have a blog now. So...ya. But today was definitely worth talking about. Its a Saturday, and I love Saturdays. I slept in until almost 10:30 (what a delight). Then I sat around and ate breakfast with Kjirst and Cherie (not exciting yet, but just wait). I was thinking about what I wanted to do, and remembered I got some sweeeet hiking shoes, Merrils, for Christmas which I love. I called up my tiny cousin Finn, who is twelve, and we decided to go on a hike up rock canyon. I got ready, packed a lunch and picked up Finny. Lars wanted to come too, so the three of us stuffed our food into a backpack and went on our way. It was such a beautiful morning! There was snow all around and we explored, crushed icicles, climbed up rock walls, and ran around. We found a 'secret' bridge and crossed the empty river to the other side of the canyon. We crawled up the hill getting snow everywhere and went as high as the hill would let us. We talked about how peaceful it was. You could see the whole valley and even the temple. I am always amazed at how intelligent those young boys are. We then saw three different airplanes that all left white streams behind them. The snow was all glittery, the sun was high and white. After eating our PB & J's and celery, we slid down the mountain and re-crossed the slippery bridge made of 2 logs. It was quite hilarious because Bardy slipped in between them, and plopped onto a pile of snow below. (Don't worry, he was fine). Then ran back down, discovered a cave, and a tennis ball we retrieved through a fence. Shared some water with a thirsty youth, and drove back to their home where we enjoyed some orange creme hot chocolate. It was truly so fun! Then back to my apartment, where I showered and took Jasper Poe (my bike) for a little ride. It was so nice to get outside and breathe the fresh January air, even though it is cold. The sun was out, and the day was just cute.
